Import a custom token

Import a supported ERC-20 token when you want it to appear in Cedar’s token list on a specific network. Once added, the import belongs to your Cedar account and is shared by Pocket and Vault on that network across web, iOS, and the extension.

Cedar already shows each network’s native asset and tokens marked Listed by Cedar. For anything else, you need the contract address used on the selected network.

Import a token

The steps below use the web or iOS app so you can preview the token before adding it. Importing changes only Cedar’s token list; it does not move tokens or approve a contract to spend them.

Open the token list in Pocket or Vault.
Select the network where the token exists.
Choose Import token and paste the contract address.
Choose Load.
Check the name, symbol, decimals, network, contract address, and token label Cedar shows.
If every detail matches your trusted source, choose Add token.

The extension also supports importing from Import token. There, paste the address and choose Add token; verify the network and contract before opening the importer because the extension does not show the same preview step.

If Cedar cannot load the token details, check the selected network and contract address. Cedar must read valid standard details, including decimals, before it can import the token.

Pocket and Vault share imported tokens on the selected network. If the token also exists on another network, select that network and import the contract address used there.

Understand token labels

Listed by Cedar means Cedar recognizes the contract on that network. It does not guarantee the token’s value or contract safety.
Imported means you added the contract to your Cedar account.
Unverified means Cedar does not currently recognize or import the contract. Check it before continuing.

Each account can import up to 25 tokens per network. Importing the same address again on that network does not create a duplicate.

If a balance is unavailable

Unavailable means Cedar could not confirm the current balance. It does not mean the balance is zero, and it does not prevent you from adding a token whose standard details loaded successfully.

While the balance is unavailable, Send and Max stay disabled for that token. Choose Retry and wait for Cedar to refresh it. A confirmed zero balance appears as 0.

You’re done when

The token appears in the selected Pocket or Vault token list.
If both wallets are available, the token appears in both lists for that network.
The network and contract address match the source you checked.
The same account can see the token in other Cedar apps for that network.
Cedar shows a confirmed balance, or Unavailable with a Retry action.
