Send and receive test tokens
Use this guide to put test tokens in Pocket or Vault, then make a small transfer with confidence. Receiving and sending are separate tasks, so you can stop after the one you need.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Choose a network shown in Cedar’s network selector. The sender and recipient must use that same network.
- Activate Pocket before sending from it. Pocket can receive before activation whenever Cedar shows its address.
- Finish Vault setup before using Vault, and have your trusted phone ready for a Vault send.
- Ask the recipient to confirm both the address and network. Start with a small test amount.
- Wait for Cedar to show an available balance before sending. If the balance is Unavailable, use Retry instead of treating it as zero.
Receive test tokens
Section titled “Receive test tokens”- Open the Pocket or Vault you want to fund, then choose Receive.
- Check the wallet name and selected network before copying anything.
- Choose Copy address.
- In the sending faucet, app, or wallet, choose the same network and a supported test token.
- Paste the address, compare it with the one Cedar showed, and send the test tokens.
- Return to the same wallet and network in Cedar, then wait for the balance to update.
An address can look valid on more than one network. Matching the address alone is not enough; always match the network too.
Send test tokens
Section titled “Send test tokens”- Open the Pocket or Vault you want to use, then choose Send.
- Check the selected network.
- Enter or select the recipient under To, then continue.
- Under Token, choose the test token. Under Amount, enter a small amount that does not exceed the available balance.
- Continue to Review and compare the wallet, network, token, amount, and recipient address.
- If every detail matches the transfer you intended, choose Send and follow the approval Cedar shows.
- Pocket normally asks for passkey approval. For a Vault send, follow Continue on phone when Cedar shows it, review the same details on your trusted phone, then choose Confirm.
- Open Activity and wait until Cedar shows that the transfer completed successfully.
You’re done when
Section titled “You’re done when”- For a receive, Cedar shows the updated balance in the intended wallet on the correct network.
- For a send, Activity shows that the transfer completed successfully from the intended wallet and network.
- For a send, the recipient confirms that the test tokens arrived.
If the balance or send status does not update
Section titled “If the balance or send status does not update”- Check that both sides used the same network and that the address belongs to the intended Pocket or Vault.
- Confirm that Cedar lists the token, or import its contract address on the selected network.
- If the balance is Unavailable, choose Retry. Cedar blocks Send and Max until it can confirm the balance.
- If Activity still shows a pending send, wait until Cedar shows whether it succeeded or failed instead of starting the same transfer again.
- If Cedar rejects the amount’s decimal precision, enter fewer fractional digits. Cedar does not round the amount into a different transfer.
- If Cedar says a send failed, review its details in Activity, correct the cause, and start a new send only when needed.
